A Healthier Me

This summer, I am going to try to get healthy. Now, I'm not going on a diet, but I am going to try to live a healthier lifestyle. I am trying to drink more water and not as much other drinks. I am allowing myself one glass of milk at breakfast, (if I want it) and one glass of another drink. Whether it would be tea or lemonade. (The two things we drink at our house.) I have this really awesome water bottle, that is the kind that keep drinks either really cold or really hot. I try to at least drink three of those a day. If I get more in because I forgot to count, then hey that's great!! :) I have started this program if you will probably about 4 days ago, and so far I have been doing okay. I wake up and it is almost like I am wondering where my water bottle is. It is also helping with my allergies. During this time of the year, my allergies get really bad. My nose either gets really stuffy, or it runs off my face. My eyes become watery, I'm very congested, and my throat hurts. The water has helped it not hurt so bad.

Personally, I should have been doing this a long time ago, but now, I have buckled down, and done it. I want to become healthier for myself. I will have more energy, and will just feel good about myself.

Here are a couple of pics of the water bottle that I am using.

I got this water bottle in North Carolina at a shop down there. It was really cheap. I think I paid like $4 and some odd cents. It is really nice.

This is the inside of the water bottle. It is big, and it holds a lot of water.

  1. Just be sure to clean it out really good on a regular basis. I had a bottle like that that I used at school frequently. It got an odd smell to it, so I mixed some bleach with water and rinsed it out really good to kill any bacteria that might be growing. Water bottles are the best solution when trying to train yourself to drink more H2O! Whenever I have one on me, I drink a ton. Without it, I pretty much don't even consider gulping down water -- or any other beverage for that matter -- unless I'm super thirsty.

Go for it! It's a great idea to cut out the extra sugars and calories of beverages that you don't really need. :)

  2. Thanks Sarah! :) Yeah I need to clean it out, so I don't have anything growing in it. That would be nasty, and I don't want that to happen! I find myself, like you drinking a ton of water if I have my bottle. It is really a great tool to help curve your habits in the right direction! When I'm drinking from it, I drink more, because I drink it all, and then go get more!
