Weekend Rewind

I had to take a break from studying for a math test for a few minutes. My eyes were going cross looking at all the different problems.. I will also admit that I was starting to feel defeated, and needed my mind to be taken off of it.

Friday: The whole family packed up at the crack of dawn and headed down to Spotsy to promote a battle that is going to be happening near us. In Spotsy, they were having a reenactment of a battle that took place there in the Civil War. We were promoting another battle reenactment that is going to take place in June. It was education day and there were over 2000 students that came. We were in the vendor section of the area, and there weren't a ton of people that came by our table. The kids mostly stayed in the living history section of the area. At the end, some of the reenactors came by our table, and so we got to see them in their period dress.. It was quite fascinating some of the outfits that they were wearing. The outfits looked like they could end up being very hot in the summer months. I'm thankful that I was not born back then! :) We finished up at 2:00 p.m. and then we just went home. We were all exhausted by the time we got home. 


Saturday: We had friends over for a little cookout. We are watching their dog for a couple of days and they had to bring her over. We figured why not stay for dinner while you're at it! I also was able to take some newborn/ 3 m/o pictures while they were over. All in all it was a nice day!

Sunday: Church and then we went to a friends house to do some laundry. Our washer is out of commission for the time being, and until we get another one, our friends have been so nice to let us use theirs! :) We were only there for a few hours, and then we went back home.

Not really pertaining to the weekend, but Building 429 posted this on their facebook page last week, and I love it. It is from their new song "Press On". If you haven't heard it, GO look it up on youtube! So good!! :)


*quick prayer request.. this evening, I will be taking a math test that I really need to do good on. It will decide if I have to take a summer class or not. Please pray that I make a 70 or higher on it! Thanks!!*
