Weekend Rewind

This weekend was a get better weekend.

Friday, Valentines Day, we were able to come home from our friends house where we had been staying in case of a power outage. Thankfully we didn't have a power outage!! The workers did a great job of prepping the power lines, and I am so thankful that they took the time to do that. After coming home, we all got ready and went out to dinner as a family valentines/birthday dinner. It was the two younger kids birthday last Monday and Thursday. We really didn't have time to celebrate because of the weather and prior engagements. We celebrated on Friday. After dinner, we went to go buy them birthday presents. They had birthday money to spend, so they got to spend some of that Friday.

Saturday was just a relax day. Our van wasn't able to make it out of our friend's driveway, so we had to leave it there until some of the snow melted Saturday. Mom and Dad were able to get it out Saturday afternoon. The kids didn't have basketball or cheerleading due to weather, so we didn't have that to worry with. It was really just a nice day to relax!!

Sunday early EARLY morning, we came down with some sort of stomach bug. Mom was the first one that came down with it. It hit her like at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. I felt so bad for her. Nobody likes to have a stomach bug, and I know it makes it worse when you get it during the night. It hit me when I got up Sunday morning to get ready for church. My stomach bug wasn't as bad as her's, but I knew that it wouldn't be good to go to church and give it to everyone at church. Mom and I stayed home from church, and just rested. When the family got back from church, Lexi started to complain about having it too. Through the end of the night, that poor little gal was sick about 15 times. Her and Mom had it the worse. No one else in the family got it thankfully.

Today, we were supposed to go hear Margret Feinburg speak at Liberty and get a tour of LU so my dad could see where I would be and some of the things that I will be doing. Because we were sick, we decided that it wouldn't be the best thing to take this stomach bug to LU. Hopefully, we will get to take him another time to see the campus and get the tour! They have added the new library to the tour and I REALLY want to see it!! On the sick end of the deal, I think everyone is getting better thankfully!! Lexi still had a little bit of a fever this afternoon/evening, so I hope she starts to feel better soon!!!! :)

xoxo,<3 Katelyn
