Beachin'

*I've been in love with Jake Owen's song Beachin' lately! That's where the title came from!*

Tuesday and yesterday we were beachin'! We decided to take a little girls beach trip with my moms friend and her girls. We got a hotel right on the beach and it was awesome! The only problem was that they were calling for rain and storms, and man did they come. We got about an hour or so of beach time before the bad weather got there. We we're just finishing up a late lunch on Tuesday and we actually got caught in the rain. We had to run back into a parking garage. I felt really bad for the people that were left on the beach and had to pack up quick and make a run for it. Thankfully it stopped for about an hour or so, and we got some pool time before the big storms hit.

Tuesday afternoon/evening the really big storms hit. We had lots of rain, wind, thunder, lightning, and even waterspout. Like I said, it was bad. We were the crazy ones that watched the storms roll in from the patio! ;) When it got really bad, we did come in and watch it from the room, but we still had our blinds open! We got to see some pretty sick lightning over the water. I wish I would have been able to get a picture of it! After the storms were over, we went out for a bike ride on the boardwalk! It was a lot of fun! People were just starting to come out of their hotels and get out and about. We were able to ride up and down the whole boardwalk in the allotted time for taking the bikes out. It was nice to be able to get out of the hotel for a little bit and get some energy out! There was able a really nice breeze coming off the water. We ordered in Chinese and went to get Sweet Frog. (beach traditions!)

Wednesday we tried the beach again, but it was supposed to rain all day, so that didn't go very well. We had to be out of our hotel by 11, so we just packed up and hit some shops on the way home. We tried going to the aquarium, but what everyone at the beach when its raining is go to the aquarium. It was PACKED! We didn't try to get into the parking lot it was so bad. We just made our way home as we pleased!

It really was a nice little get away trip! I think I laughed harder than ever, and made some really good memories before I had to school!

Tomorrow is a big day! It is MacBook day! I have been wanted a Mac since I could remember, and tomorrow is the day that I get it!! SO exciting!
