I posted a little bit about my weekend in my last post, but I will go into a little bit of detail today.
Thursday: my weekend started Thursday after Bible Study. Bible Study was great like always. There were only four people at Bible Study, but we spent the time in prayer and talking. We had some special prayer requests that we all wanted to pray over, and it was so nice just to be able to share our hearts with one another, and pray in agreement over those requests. I love my time on Thursday mornings so much. After Bible Study, we went and did a couple of errands to get ready for the weekend. I was supposed to go to CFAW (college for a weekend) at Liberty, but some plans changed, and I didn't go. I actually went to Lynchburg with my parents for an abbreviated CFAW. We kinda did our own thing at Liberty. We went to the CFAW 101 and met with an admissions counselor. We also were able to show my dad the campus since he had never been before. He loved the campus, and was amazed by all the construction that was taking place. They had just opened the new Jerry Falwell Library, they are building brand new high rise dorms, building a science center, improving other buildings, and just a bunch of different stuff. It is amazing to see everything that they are doing, and to see how God is blessing this school. I can just see the hand of God on Liberty University, and I am so thankful that I'm able to go and get an education there. We had dinner and then just bummed around at the hotel. I was also able to facetime with my roommate. I had never been able to talk to her face to face, only through texts, and it was SO nice to get to see her and talk like we were sitting in front of each other! I can't wait to meet her in person and get to know her better!
Friday: We just did our own thing again. We visited the campus, went to the new library, met with another person about classes, and just walked around campus. I had never been to the new library, and it is SO pretty!! If you ever get a chance to go to Liberty and visit the new library, DO IT! You won't regret it. I was in shock at all the different things there were to see and do. I can't wait to be there and be able to study there. We also went shopping for my senior picture dress. I really want to find a lace dress, and I haven't been very successful to date. We are going shopping today, so hopefully I will find a dress.
Saturday: my grandmother's ladies banquet. It was an international theme and they did it very well! My aunts were able to skype to do different things with the program. (My aunts are overseas) My one aunt spoke via Skype and my other aunt sang via Skype. It was really nice to get the see them again even if it was in a whole group of other women. I really enjoyed the banquet!
Sunday: my mom's birthday and church. We had church and then we went to eat with friends at her favorite restaurant. It is a little BBQ place near us, and it has the best BBQ ever! They have so many options and different things that you can get. We love it, and so it was the perfect place to have her birthday! After lunch, we went down to the river near our house. It was a really pretty day here. I didn't get it because the water was way to cold, but the little kids got in for about 10 minutes.
That was pretty much my weekend. Very eventful and fun! I can't wait until the next time I get to go to Liberty! :)
xoxo, <3 Katelyn
