Weekend Rewind

Church, chili, and crafts. Oh my!

Friday: babysitting and prep for the chili cook-off..

Saturday: we had our first annual chili cook-off at church. Different people made chili and cookies, some brought crackers and cheese. We just set everything out and let people try the different chili's and if you had a favorite than you could vote your favorite or favorites! Everyone that paid was given 5 tickets to use in the voting, and then whomever had the most tickets at the end of the night was the winner. The winner was given a $20 Walmart gift card and the runner ups were given boxes of candy! It was a win win for everyone! :)

Sunday: church and then we came home and I did some dorm room crafts. I painted some mason jars to store different things in, in my dorm room. I have a little bit of a color scheme, so I painted them to go along with that.They aren't finished yet, but when I finish them I will share them with y'all! I plan on putting some bows on each of the jars in coordinating colors! I think they are going to be really pretty!

 I do have a couple of specific prayers requests I would love for y'all to pray for. I just registered for my classes, and I'm going to have a couple of very busy and intense days. Please pray as I transition into this new phase that I will transition smoothly. I also will have to take a couple of classes before I can take a big class that I will need to get accepted into the nursing program. Please pray for wisdom as I figure out when to take those classes, so I don't delay the nursing program. Thanks in advance! :)
