As I get older, there are things that I wish I would have known when I was younger. I'm sure that as the years go by, I will learn more and more about myself.
Dear Me,
Life has been pretty great to you. There has been some ups and downs, but those have shaped you into the person you are now. There are somethings that you probably didn't think would ever happen but they did. You thought if those things EVER happened to you, you would probably die.. Hey, guess what?! You're still living!!
You never thought that you would be attending your dream school in the fall of 2014. Liberty has always been your dream, but because of financial reasons it seemed out of the question. The real problem was that you hadn't put attending Liberty in God's hands. You weren't letting him take care of the financial problems. You searched and searched for different schools that would be in "your plan" not God's plan. It wasn't until you listened to what God was saying that you realized that Liberty was in God's plan for you. It has been so much easier since you submitted to his plan..
You didn't think leaving the only church you had ever known would be in God's plan for you. That was the church that YOU had envisioned getting married and raising YOUR children in. That was the church that YOU were going to serve for the rest of YOUR life. That was YOUR church. When all those different thoughts were going through your head, God was really laughing his head off.. He was probably saying you silly child, I have much bigger plans for you. That is not the church you would get married in, and that is not the place you are going to serve for the rest of your life. I have this little country church in my head that is perfect for you. That spot right where your dad wanted to start a church. Yeah that's where I want you. You don't know it now, but that is where your faith in me is going to blossom. Your faith is small now, but let me tell you, it's going to move mountains you didn't even know were in the way. Oh, I'm also going to grow your family's faith in me. That is just a little added bonus.
This is just a little advice for ya. You don't want to back talk your mom. It's not the best thing to do, and in time you will become the example to your siblings of what happens when you back talk your her. You wanna know what happens when you do back talk? You don't get to go to that Christmas sleepover that you were planning on going too. You also get your tv taken away!
Always remember to say I love you. You're gonna learn pretty young that you never know when is the last time you will get to say those three little words. Your dad is going to pass away, and you're going to wish you had one last time to say those three little words. But don't worry, you're going to get to see him again some glorious day!
You've turn out to be a pretty good gal, and I think you have a pretty good head on your shoulder. Yeah, you slip up every once in a while, but that thing called forgiveness is always there to get you back on the right path again!
Love, Me
