You Are Set Free

I think I did more highlighting, staring, and hearting things in this chapter than any chapter to date. Robin and Alyssa really spoke to me during my quiet time (That is when I read my chapter in Spoken For.) They were talking about once you are saved that you are set free. Sometimes it can be hard for us to grasp that we are not only set free, but also that our sins are forgiven as far as the East is from the West.

The ladies talked about it, and I can relate to this fact. We know we are forgiven, but sometimes we fail to realize that once we are forgiven, God doesn't keep bringing our sin up to us. WE are the ones who keep bringing it up, and constantly feeling like we have to ask for forgiveness. God doesn't want us to keep putting shame on ourselves because of our past sins. Those sins and the sins that we are going to commit in the future were forgiven at the cross, and we have to remember that.

My goal for the rest of the week is to remember that I don't have to keep bringing those sins up and asking for forgiveness. Trust me, there are times that I do that. Robin and her sister came up with a really good saying that I love. Shame off you, grace on you. We are covered in grace.

Here is your daily reminder about What God Says About You! :)

xoxo, <3 Katelyn
