We're Alive + Random Babbling

A major snowstorm hit my area last night and into this morning. We are holed up at a friend's house right now, and we currently have power! There is supposed to be another round of wet, heavy snow coming during the day today. That is the kind of snow that will probably cause us to lose power. I am praying hard that we don't lose power. I hate losing power!! It's funny how many things that we depend on that use power. I've been without power for several days before and it is not fun!! Please pray that we don't lose power! I am praying that people won't lose power too!!

The snow that we got last night and into this morning was a light powdery snow with some sleet on top. I think we probably got at least 7-8 inches. The kids are outside playing in it right now. They love the snow! I, personally, am not a fan of snow! I would take warm weather any day of the week. I am a warm weather gal! Don't get me wrong, I love the look of snow!  I'll just stay inside and take pictures of the kids playing in it!!

What are some of y'alls favorite things to do in the snow? Are y'all the type to go out and play in it, or do you like to stay inside the warm house and take pictures of the fun?

I took my assessment tests yesterday, and I think I did okay. I was worried that I would have to take remedial classes in both English and math, but it turns out I may only have to take a remedial math class. I don't mind having to take a remedial class. It will be a good refresher class! It didn't take me too terrible long to take the tests. I did them at the library because our internet is so poor, so it was better to take them there just in case our internet was to go out randomly. (it does that too us all the time) I think that was the last thing big thing that I had to get done for them. SO happy to have that over and done with. Next stop summer orientation!!! :)

I still can't believe that I am going to be a college student going to my dream school! I still am coveting y'all's prayers for me during this journey. It is going to be something new that I have never done before. I am amazed at what God can do when you just say. "Okay, God, this is where you want me, and I am just going to say yes." I can't believe that we started this journey in September, and now it is February, and I am planning my summer orientation. It's amazing! I am amazed at my awesome God!

Anywhoo, this has been enough babbling for one post!! :)

xoxo,<3 Katelyn
