Extraordinary Women's Conference

Like I said in my last post, this weekend was the ewomen's conference, and it was soooo much fun! I really don't know of a time that I have had that much fun, and even learned about God! It was the best weekend I have had to date.

Friday night we heard from Kasey Van Norman. She is a dynamic speaker, and really spoke to my heart. She gave her testimony, and was really uplifting. She is just a country girl from Texas that God is using to share her story. She really is awesome, and if you haven't heard her speak, I highly recommend hearing her speak. She is awesome. Third Day also sang, and they were amazing!! I loved all of their songs that they sang.

Saturday was an early morning, but I knew that it would be a fun day! Everything got started at about 9 a.m. We had to be at the Civic Center at 7 a.m. to wait in line to get a good seat. We had good seats on Friday night, but once we got there, all the good seats, and the seats that we had were gone. We settled to be a little bit higher up, but that was still okay too!! They had screens that made the speakers bigger so we were able to see a little bit better!

Karen Kingsbury was the first to speak. For those of you who don't know who she is, she is a Christian fiction author, and she is a good speaker. She told about her life, and a little bit about her books. The next person to speak was Margaret Feinberg. She is battling cancer right now, but she still came and spoke to us. She gave up 45 minutes of her precious time to share her life with the 10,00 ladies that were there. I'm so glad that I was able to hear her speak.

We had lunch, and then it was time for Tim Hawkins. He was as funny as ever!! I wished he could've been able to talk a little bit longer, but it was nice for the time that he did speak. After Tim Hawkins, it was Missy Robertson!!! The person that I had looked forward to hearing since we got our tickets in May!!! You guys already know that I am a HUGE Duck Dynasty fan, and so just to hear someone from the show speak is pretty *AMAZING* She told about her life, and her family, but the thing that I think everyone liked was her daughter Mia sing and speak! Let me just tell you that little girl was awesome!! She is awesome stage presents, and she got her mother's singing ability. She sang "This Little Light of Mine" by Addison Road. She did a really really good job! I was impressed!!

I was sad that the conference had to come to an end, but I am super excited that we are going to be going next year!!!! I CANNOT wait to go next year, and I wish I had a time machine to speed up time until it was time!!! :)

I'll share pictures later!!

xoxo,<3 Katelyn
