Weekend Rewind

This weekend was spent at my grandparents house up north. North for me can mean the next state above us or all the way to New England. Lol :) We spent some time with our cousin's from TN, and cousin's that lived there. Friday consisted of just hanging out in the pool, and then cousin time once everyone got there. We got Lefty's for dinner, and it was Uh-mazing!! We got ribs, wings, fries, and hush puppies. They have also BBQ, and my grandfather got a BBQ sandwich to go along with his dinner.

Saturday, we got up and had a very productive day! We made dumplings for the Chinese for the dinner that we were going to have that night. We probably made about 80 dumplings, and we didn't have any left over!

After making the dumplings we went to the park to let the kids play and the dogs to run around. The play ground that we went to had 3 different areas for the kids to play on. The bad part was that they weren't all together. They were spread out. One was up on the hill, one was at the bottom of the hill, and the other one was in the middle. It was hard to keep track of four kids that want to run in three different directions. You could sit at the bottom of the hill and be able to see all the kids. You had to run up and down the hill in order to see them all. Finally we got tired of trying to keep up with the kids, so we just went on a walk. While on the walk, the kids were just finding toads after toads. I think after about an hour, we had 5 toads. Two bigger ones, and three littler ones. All the kids had toads that they had collected. Well once you have toads, you have to have a container to keep them in. My grandmother went and got them all critter cages to keep their toads in. The kids were all very happy to get their critter cages and put their toads in them. The boys got the bigger toads, and the girls got the littler toads. When I say little, I mean LITTLE!!  Probably not any bigger then your thumb nail.

All the kids playing with the toads.

 Jacob's toad.
 Eli's toad.

Sunday we had a missionary come and speak at church. He is going to be going to the country of Norway. I had never heard of anyone who was going to be a missionary there. It was a new experience for me. It was great to learn about Norway, and everything that it has to offer! On Sunday afternoon, I was bored, and so I found this great new app called Craft My Letters, and you can make monogram wallpapers! I don't know if you have been following this for any amount of time, but I love monogrammed things!!! Just see this post. :) The app is free, but you have to buy a $.99 pack in order to get the monogram font. Personally it is well worth it!!

A monogram wallpaper that I made yesterday afternoon! Its soo summery!!

 I love the color combo!!
